Oscott Cemetery has provided burial space for Catholics of the Archdiocese of Birmingham since 1939, and continues to offer this today. While plots cannot be reserved, new burial and cremation plots are available.
The following arrangements apply until Covid 19 restrictions are lifted:
Monday to Friday open for visitors from 2pm until 4pm
Saturday and Sunday open for visitors from 9am until 4pm
Burials are available until 12 noon Monday to Friday.
The Cemetery Office is based at St Mary’s College, Oscott, and is open Monday-Friday, 10.00am-2.00pm. The Cemetery Administrator is Alison Hutcheson, and can be contacted with the following details:

Extending the Grant of Exclusive Right of Burial
If you are aware that your deed has reached the term of 75 years, you can apply to extend the lease to 100 years.
Application for this extension should be made in writing to the Cemetery Office. You should include your original Deed and a new one will be issued.
There is a cost for the lease extension (by 25 years), currently the third of a cost of a new plot.

Blessing of Graves
We regret to announce that because of current Government guidelines and restrictions, the Service of Blessings of the Graves (7 November) has been cancelled. We are sorry for the disappointment this will cause.
New burial plot for two persons: £2800.00
First internment into a new plot: £1000.00
Total for a new grave: £3800.00
Cremation Plot for two: £900.00
Burial of cremated remains: £450.00
Re-opening of grave:
1 depth: £900.00
